Two main types
Pneumatic for PET and PP: tensions, friction-welds and cuts like a battery tool, but with no battery to run down — made for continuous work.
Pneumatic for steel strap: tensions and seals steel without seals, and some models handle wide strap up to 32 mm.

What you need to run one
- An air compressor with working pressure around 5–7 bar, depending on model.
- A hose and quick coupler that fit the tool.
- A filter-lubricator unit on the air line, to keep the air motor clean and oiled.
Who it suits
- Steel and sheet-metal plants
- Brick, ceramic and marble plants
- Pallet packing lines
- Timber plants
- Export warehouses
Water in the air line is a pneumatic tool's worst enemy. Drain the compressor tank daily and keep the filter working.
